Batman! Frank Miller's and Dave McKean's illustrations.

"Better three hours too soon than a minute too late." What a rendition of the Dark Knight! Brilliant use of colour! Frank Miller's illustration of Batman is just super. The lines and colours give it a powerful effect.
"You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. I can do those things because I'm not a hero, not like Dent. I killed those people. That's what I can be."
Frank Miller's silhouettes are unique and very inspiring. Simple, yet somehow complex.

Arkham Asylum- very unique and dark style of sequential narrative by Dave McKean. The colours, the play of light and shadow, diabolic forms and expressions blew my mind. A lot to learn from these two illustrators.!

A man paints with his brains and not with his hands.

It is just like man's vanity and impertinence to call an animal dumb because it is dumb to his dull perceptions. ~Mark Twain

The human spirit is not dead.  It lives on in secret.... It has come to believe that compassion, in which all ethics must take root, can only attain its full breadth and depth if it embraces all living creatures and does not limit itself to mankind.  ~Albert Schweitzer

Animals can communicate quite well.  And they do.  And generally speaking, they are ignored.  ~Alice Walker
When a man wants to murder a tiger he calls it sport; when the tiger wants to murder him he calls it ferocity.
 ~George Bernard Shaw
Mankind has always been cruel to all other creatures on earth, atleast most of mankind! Being unable to go and actually do something, for now, I have resorted to just capturing their essence on paper. I hope to do something more soon.

My eagles

Bird of the broad and sweeping wing,
Thy home is high in heaven,
Where wide the storms their banners fling,
And the tempest clouds are driven.

A believer is a bird in a cage, a freethinker is an eagle parting the clouds with tireless wing.
Eagles have always fascinated me and given me a lot of inspiration to paint. These are works
inspired by these wonderful creatures.
"We are the music makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams;—
World-losers and world-forsakers,
On whom the pale moon gleams:
Yet we are the movers and shakers o
f the world for ever, it seems.."-Arthur William Edgar O'Shaughnessy
Some of my favourite lines! There's just something about Peter Pan that inspired me. It has always been my favourite fairytale and the illustrated book inspired me to be an artist. I was fascinated by Neverland. I could not find the same version online but I found some nice illustrations of the story.
